Hello There!

Catnose comics is VAS Littlecrow‘s mature audience comics division.  VAS Littlecrow is a fearless multidisciplinary arts firm specializing in decadently thought-provoking entertainment and services. VAS Littlecrow was founded and headed by me, Vanesa Littlecrow Wojtanowicz, since 1997.  Here at Catnose Comics, I harness my inner demons for fun and profit.

I began creating zines, prints and mini-comics by sneaking into the principal’s office copier room and piecing my booklets together with needle and thread, back in 1989.  Eventually, my clandestine publishing firm went legit.  ZNLArts produced free and mainstream regional entertainment zines like The Electric Walleye and Synergy.  Both publications boasted a maximum circulation of 15,000 units each, and were distributed in four different states and Puerto Rico.  Some of our comics were also regionally self-syndicated.  ZNLArts eventually dissolved in 1997 when my with my business partner and I parted ways.  Out of the ashes of ZNLArts, VAS Littlecrow and Catnose Comics were born.  Not bad for something that started out as the endeavor of a teenage rapscallion!

VAS Littlecrow is a multidisciplinary arts firm that creates fearless visual arts. Catnose Comics publishes a variety of thought-provoking webcomics, zines and mini-comics.  Catnose Comics is a woman, queer and minority owned publishing enterprise that is proud to remain non-corporate.

Catnose is named after Vanesa Catnose, the lead character from the Nine Lives of Catnose comic strip.  Although no longer in publication, Vanesa Catnose will forever remain our mascot, muse and the resident of the archives on this site.  Catnose Comics has produced many interesting sequential art series and many of them are available online for your viewing pleasure. If you enjoy our work, please patronize our sponsors and join our Twitter Feed. We would be extremely delighted if you could show your support by sending us a monetary or supply wish list donation.

We at Catnose Comics believe in freedom of expression and personal responsibility. For this reason, we use the Comic Genesis standard Webcomics ratings system to warn viewers about our content. We also use the in-house category Web-AO (Adults Only,) instead of Web-NC-17. This rating more accurately reflects general community standards in the United States. It is also more useful in countries where the age of majority may be higher than 18.
